This decision was taken after a meeting between the TOC of the 18th edition of the Challenge Camerounais d’Allemagne and the staff members of Mrs. Angela Spizig, deputy mayor of the city of Cologne.

Aware of the impact that the Challenge Camerounais d’Allemagne has in terms on intercultural understanding between Cameroonians and other nationalities living in Germany, on the one side and the political and economical rapprochement between Germany and Cameroon, for which the Challenge Camerounais pleads for on the other side, Mrs Spizig accepted to assume the patronage of the 18th edition of the Challenge Camerounais d’Allemagne.
