The huge Cathedral of
Cologne
Built from 1248 to 1880, the roman catholic cathedral St. Peter and Mary (also known as the Dome of Cologne) is the main touristic attraction of Cologne. With 157m height and 599 stairs steps, it's Germany's second highest church behind Ulm's cathedral and the third worldwide. It's also Germany's most visited monument with around 5 millions visitors in 2001 and 6 millions in 2004 coming from everywhere.
One of Germany's largest universities and its largest advanced technical college are located in Cologne, leading to its large amount of Cameroonian students.
